I finished the first book of this year! I’m so happy, can this mean I’m getting out of my reading slump? Let’s hope so! The book is ‘The Kaiju Preservation Society’ by John Scalzi, and is a sci-fi about a group of people who goes to an alternate universe to study and preserve the creatures that live there.

The book is set up in a pretty actual time, it takes place during our wonderful pandemic and quarantine, and the protagonist is a food deliveryman that finds his life completely change when he reencounters with an old friend in one of his deliveries.

The book is not too long, it has 258 pages, but it was so easy to read, it got me hooked from the beginning, it’s light even though is a sci-fi, and it’s fun, maybe it’s not the best book in the world but it’s entertaining and hooking, and most importantly, it has got me out of my reading slump!
